Imagery Technician

Location: Onsite Location Options Available, MN

Imagery Technician
Wyoming, MN or Grand Forks, ND

As an Imagery Technician at 95West, a Widseth company, you’ll be working on challenging projects providing aerial mapping services to clients throughout the United States. You will work in a team environment along with geospatial, land survey and engineering professionals on a side variety of projects involving digital orthophotography, photogrammetry and/or Lidar processing. If you love working with innovative solutions to meet diverse needs of clients, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your focus will be on:
• Performs raw imagery processing and QC tasks.
• Orthophotography data processing, as well as tasks related to photogrammetric processes.
• Performs quality assurance checks on orthophotos for imagery accuracy.
• Working as part of an integrated team in following workflows and sharing projects across other departments and disciplines.
• Approaching projects with an attention to detail and efficiency to ensure quality standards and production schedules.
• Utilizing effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate effectively with team members.

To be considered for this position you’ll need to meet any of the following minimum qualifications:
• Post High School education in Geography, Cartography, GIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Programming, CADD Systems Training, Survey, or relevant Geospatial disciplines.
• Professional experience in a Lidar or Photogrammetric technician role.
• Experience in MicroStation, Civil 3D, and/or other computer-aided drafting software programs.
• Knowledge of Aero-Triangulation, Stereo Compilation and/or Digital Orthophoto processes including but not limited to software programs such as ImageStation (ISAT, OrthoPro, etc.), Trimble Inpho Suite (Match-AT, OrthoMaster, OrthoVista, etc.), Summit Evolution, ArcGIS, Pix4D, Global Mapper, Agisoft Metashape, Adobe Photoshop, or other photogrammetric software platforms is a plus.
• Technology background and/or aerial sensor operation experience.
• Professional certification through the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) or state licensure is a major plus.
